Top Ten Tips from Tiles and Interiors for a low-cost bathroom makeover!
Improving the look of your bathroom can be tricky on a low budget, particularly if you’re putting your house on the market and don’t want to spend out on a new one.
To get maximum impact for minimum outlay, here are a few tips from 2014 Exhibitors Tiles & Interiors to get you thinking (not necessarily in any order and not necessarily all together!)…
- Replace the basin and WC with a more up to date design (not expensive and no serious plumbing changes).
- Replace the taps – ditto
- Find a nice new mirror – it doesn’t have to be a bathroom mirror
- Change, or lay, a new vinyl floor. With the right preparation, this can be done on top of tiles
- Change or paint the bath panel (chalk paint even covers shiny panels)
- Velcro a lovely fabric to the outside of a plain shower curtain
- Change the blind/curtains
- Match paint to the blind/curtains/bath panel /shower curtain – but go lighter
- Update the bathroom accessories – loo roll holder and complementary (or zany!) toilet brush
- Replace the pendant or fluorescent strip with a new bathroom light – you’d be surprised what’s on the market now
Just a few of these Top Tips could make a surprising difference to your bathroom!
