Success of Cornwall Home and Lifestyle Show 2017
On Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th April, Cornwall’s Premier Home & Garden event took place at the well-known Royal Cornwall Events Centre. Over the previous 7 years the event has grown rapidly and this year didn’t fail to impress.
Recognised for its exceptional interior goods, gardens, renewable services and self-build assistance, the event, sponsored by Cornwall Woodburners and supported by Media partners Cornwall Living and Pirate FM drew crowds from across the county and beyond to discover what Cornwall has to offer. This year saw around 3800 attendees, and over 140 of the region’s top makers, designers and suppliers come together under one roof to offer an extensive selection of home and garden product and services, which included associate sponsors Duke Stone of Cornwall and BJ Taylor Construction & Groundworks.
Marketing Manager Katie Parcell said; “There was such an amazing atmosphere in the venue, I was so pleased to see so many smiles from visitors and exhibitors, the event brought together an excellent selection of products and services from a whole range of exhibitors, it was great to welcome new companies into the mix and I hope it proved just as beneficial to them as it did to the returning clients. Overall a fantastic turn out for the show with plenty of very happy visitors”.
Once again the ever popular ‘A Bite of Cornwall’ Food and Drink market and café was well received by visitors who love the delicious artisan produce from around the county, taking some home with them and enjoying freshly cooked foods on site along with local beverages from the licensed bar. This year also saw the Homeware & Interiors Market grow with more wonderful regional designers and makers selling cushions, ceramics, art, kitchenware, furniture, glassware to name a few. Due to popular section will grow further in 2018.
Home Show Managing Director Andrew Weaver added “Each year the event has increased its awareness and popularity across the region. We take pride in offering visitors the chance to work with specialist local companies in the home and garden sector and I’m very pleased to see how many people want to support and shop local. We continue to turn away big nationals so our local economy can grow and our visitors are operating in the same way. I would like to thank all that supported the event, our visitors, exhibitors and sponsors alike. We look forward to our next events in September and October.”
There are plenty more events coming up to enjoy, including the Home & Lifestyle Show Interiors Market on 8th and 9th September on Lemon Quay, Truro and the increasingly popular Cornwall Home Improvement & Self Build Show on 7TH and 8TH October at the showground in Wadebridge.
