Choose a holiday home in Cornwall that’s easy to get to. Make sure a main road lies close by or at least within 15 minutes’ drive. Double check how busy the roads get in high season – gridlocked traffic doesn’t make a good start to any holiday. If the roads nearby do tend to be very busy in the summer, investigate alternative routes to offer guests.

Wow location factors

Look at properties with something extra. Go for homes with views (sea, hills or moor) – everyone loves something stunning to gaze at. Consider a holiday home within walking distance of the shore – everyone likes the idea of being able to pop down to the beach.

Time of year

Seasonality of the location is paramount especially when you’re trying to fill your booking calendar outside holiday season. An area that’s dead in winter won’t attract holidaymakers while a resort or town with year-round activity will appeal to guests in the quieter months of the year too.

While some guests will want to really get away from it, most people like to have amenities within an easy distance. Choose a property near shops, places to eat and other essentials. If they’re not a walk away, make sure it doesn’t take more than 15 minutes to get to them by car.
