D3 Architects Stage 6 – How to Find Your Architect
You have a brief for your project and now you need your architect. Note we said your architect not just an architect. Your project will require more than a passing acquaintance. A typical project will last anything from 6 months to a year or more depending on complexity and involvement.
You will need someone with whom you feel confident with sharing ideas and developing your project. A project is only as good as the team that delivers it, including architect, builder and client.
The Search Begins
Word of mouth and recommendations are a great way to find an architect but not everyone has worked with one and what if you’re in that position, what do you do? You could approach builders and they will give you an honest appraisal of the architects they have worked with. The quickest way is to use the web and see examples of their work. Do they have any feedback or testimonials available to see? Do they offer a free initial consultation? Are you interested in their work? If yes then take them up on the free initial meeting.
At the meeting you can find out how they work, what to expect and what service level they provide. You have also had a chance to see if you can work well together and if you have found your architect. Ask any questions you have as we are here to help you turn your dreams into reality.
All the best with your project – we hope to see you at the Cornwall Home & Lifestyle Show.
