A resounding success: record numbers of visitors and exhibitors at show

Organiser is delighted by the response to this year’s Cornwall Home & Lifestyle Show

The 2015 Cornwall Home & Lifestyle Show is being heralded as a great success after attracting record numbers of both visitors and exhibitors.

Visitors were up from 2,600 last year to nearly 3,500, while the number of exhibitors increased from 97 in 2014 to over 130 this year.

Show managing director Andrew Weaver said he was delighted by the popularity of the event.

“I’ve already had very positive feedback from most of the exhibitors, it’s clearly been a good weekend for lots of people. And judging by the number of happy visitors I saw, it’s been an enjoyable one too,” Andrew said.

“I think the mix of exhibitors with big-ticket items alongside people selling smaller objects and furnishings for the home and garden, as well as our Feel Good Health and Wellbeing Zone, and the Bite of Cornwall food and drink mini-fest, all contributed to providing something for everyone.

“I’d like to thank everybody for supporting the event, from our sponsors at Cornish Traditional Cottages and associates Cornwall Woodburners, to our media partners at Cornwall Living and Pirate FM, and obviously those who exhibited and all the visitors who came along to the Royal Cornwall showground. Without any one of those individual components it wouldn’t have been the success we are celebrating today.”

George Edward-Collins said: “Cornish Traditional Cottages were delighted to be the headline sponsor for the CHLS 2015 and Andrew and his team surpassed all expectations this year, it was a tremendous show with a great atmosphere.

“We look forward to supporting the show again in 2016”

The winner of this years pre registration prize package of over £3000 worth items and offers supplied by the show exhibitors was Robert Burton of St Austell.
